Sometimes, Tucker Carlson shows a real touch of genius. That was the case with his suggestion for true societal change in America. It’s time, he said, for America’s elite educational institutions (the Ivy Leagues and other high-ranking colleges and universities) to stop promoting generational affluence. They need to jettison their rich student body and, in the future, admit only disadvantaged students.
Tucker opened his proposal by noting that we’re currently experiencing a non-traditional revolution in which the ruling class is attacking and destroying the working and middle classes. Thus, while the French had “liberty, fraternity, equality,” the new revolution, the one that’s against ordinary Americans, is framed as “diversity, equity, inclusion.”
However, after detailing the attacks the elites are leveling against working- and middle-class Americans, Tucker explains that the real failure of diversity, equity, and inclusion is to be found at America’s top colleges and universities. The data show conclusively that these are institutions in which rich people cluster. Further, attending one of these indoctrination centers ensures generational wealth. With an eye toward the academies, Tucker proposes a more traditional revolution, one that sees America’s elites give way to those who are victims of systemic racism and economic inequality.
To achieve this end expeditiously and without bloodshed, Tucker proposes immediately requiring the top 50 colleges and universities to stop admitting their usual cohort of students from rich families and, instead, to admit only economically disadvantaged people. These new admittees don’t even have to be in America legally. They just need to come from the bottom-most echelons, representing people who have suffered from the systemic racism that the elites see everywhere and from the economic inequality that Democrat policies promote.

I would add that elitist families need to participate in reparations, I would suggest Seppuku.
Can you imagine the university system having to limit entry to ‘white-Asians-Latinos’ consumers to only 25-percent of the seats for each year, and the other 75-percent to only blacks? Within a week, the campus elite professors would be complaining that the intellectual capability of the incoming crowd doesn’t match themselves (the professors), and all heck would break loose once they commented.
He’s correct. It’d only take five years to reverse the value of a college degree, and rid the campuses of these nitwit intellectual professors.
Essentially, he’s telling them to put their money where their mouths are.

I’ve long since wondered why that hasn’t been done yet - and can easily be done and likely for cheaper than $5k/yr. Yes, you may not get direct access to a professor as often, but for 80-90% off the price, its a very good trade.

Only quibble I have is that I would have reordered the sequence of what the Left wants to:
“diversity, inclusion,equity”.
In other words, DIE!

Some individuals come from other places and have great ideas.
You can get an exemplary education online, or even by hanging out in a library.
What you won’t get is a diploma.
The accreditation agencies are wholly owned by Big Academia, and they will not accredit an online school as being a “real” degree-granting university.
Yeah.. They should start with Harvard, that place is messed up bad..! I guess that's what happens when you let a bunch of commies (China) become your main sugar daddy...

100% agreed. I’ve learned more by online research as an adult by a factor of 5 than what I learned in undergrad and about the same in business as I did my MBA from a Top 12 program.
The American “system” has nothing to do with race. It has to do with systemic Liberty.
The American “system” works like this - stay in school, learn a skill or trade, don’t have kids out of wedlock, don’t do drugs, don’t break the law, find God (or at least live by 8 of the 10 commandments), and promote the nuclear family.
Systemic Liberty. It works almost every time it’s tried.
