I’ve long since wondered why that hasn’t been done yet - and can easily be done and likely for cheaper than $5k/yr. Yes, you may not get direct access to a professor as often, but for 80-90% off the price, its a very good trade.
Dinesh Joseph D’Souza was born in Bombay in 1961. Dinesh grew up in a middle-class family: his parents were Roman Catholics from the state of Goa in Western India, where his father was an executive with Johnson & Johnson and his mother was a housewife. D’Souza attended the Jesuit St. Stanislaus High School in Bombay.

Some individuals come from other places and have great ideas.
You can get an exemplary education online, or even by hanging out in a library.
What you won’t get is a diploma.
The accreditation agencies are wholly owned by Big Academia, and they will not accredit an online school as being a “real” degree-granting university.

The problem is accreditation and the progressives own the process.
If your institution refuses to teach "approved" courses such as CRT and SJW classes you will not get accreditation.
I had that idea more than 20 years ago, wanting to pursue it as a business plan. My wife called it ‘piracy’.
I also had this idea when Research In Motion came out with a 2 way pager with a thumbwheel. You could sell them as a loss leader to cab customers, and they could hail a cab and the cab driver could respond with how long it would take and where he was. Turns out to have been a $25Billion idea. I should never have listened to my wife.
