Tiger Woods was hospitalized after being involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. The extent of any potential injuries, as well as the circumstances of the accident, remain unclear.
Woods, 45, was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV after serving as host for the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational over the weekend. Pictures surfaced on social media of Woods smiling with Dwayne Wade and David Spade at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, but with his movement still restricted, he did not hit balls or play any holes. The shoot involved Woods giving on-course lessons to a number of celebrities, but he mostly provided instruction and hit a few putts. He was in good spirits on Monday but did not arrive to the course for the second day of shooting.
On Sunday, Woods told CBS’ Jim Nantz that he was awaiting the results of an upcoming MRI before he could ramp up practicing and training for a return to competition.
Woods last competed alongside his son at the PNC Championship, which finished on Dec. 20 in Orlando. He then underwent a microdiscectomy procedure to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve. It was his fifth back surgery overall and the first since his spinal fusion in April 2017.
In fact, it appears the vehicle traveled 100 yards completely out of control.. I have no doubt this collision was the driver fault.
Your snark is duly noted. Start your own thread to discuss the Golden Bear’s achievements. Not good form to troll in this thread.
Ben don’t die on this hill. Some roads are dangerous. Some roads are oriented such that you come around a curve and get blinded by sunglare at certain times of the day/year.
You can’t anticipate that unless you are a regular on that road.
Some roads are improperly pitched and promote rollovers or skids under conditions where another road would not. These incorrect pitches are a matter of a few degrees and a driver would not be aware.
There are many factors that make up safe road design and older roads often do not meet the standards required of roads built today. If there were no unsafe roads we would not need the encyclopedic requirement rules that exist.
While personal responsibility is key and an excellent hallmark refusing to acknowledge that there are dangerous stretches of road is intransigence for it’s own sake.
No pre-impact skids...He fell asleep, overdosed or was completely distracted. Or he was just traveling way too fast and simply lost total control. I’d guess he was going at least 25+mph over the speed limit.
‘They also did not say whether he had cereal or bacon and eggs for breakfast..’
since breakfast food is not associated with accidents, and ‘substances’ are, your post makes zero sense...
Bentley Bentayga
Probably not a bad hunch, He should listen to Spieth, who puts his phone in the glovebox when he drives.
In fact, this almost looks like a suicide attempt. This guy was flying, way too fast...
hit the median?
‘Tiger, the PED doper, will never be on the same level as Jack Nicklaus in majors, the measurement of true greatness.’
jeez, man, the guy’s in a tough spot, and all you can do is spew hatred for him...?
I’ve never cared for him either, but I wish him the best with this accident...
A landscaped concrete divider probably 10’ wide.
Btw, looking at more images, this vehicle appears to have traveled well over 100 yards, completely out of control after impacting the center divider/curb. He was snapping good sized trees in half once he left the roadway.,
Look how far the car traveled after hitting median before crashing in the brush.
He was going too fast, got distracted or fell asleep ?
Post the proof or you're just another Woods hating blowhard.......Sheesh!
Nicklaus holds the record with 18 major wins.
Woods holds 15 Major wins and had it not been for his first major back surgery, he had 10 years to surpass the wins of Nicklaus.......
As far as total PGA Tournament wins, Sam Snead and Tiger Woods are tied with 82 wins while Nicklaus only has 73.......
So shove it.......
Please. Your wild speculation is duly noted, and trending toward farcical.
If I had to guess, that vehicle was probably traveling between 65-75 mph. I would guess the speed limit in that area is probably 40-45 mph.
This guy screwed up really bad.
It’s depressing to see how much hope and good will people place in a junkie.
Bottom line here at this point, is this guy was driving in a reckless manner and lost all control. He screwed up bad.
Since you are apparently too ignorant to recognize the totally irrelevant statement they did not say whether any other substance was possibly involved.
I added the equally irrelevant statement that was just as useless......
Some people get it, some idiots don't..........LOL!
Btw, people on the scene now say this vehicle traveled over 300 yards, completely out of control. The would put the vehicle way over the posted speed limit. That’s why I said, it *almost* looks like a suicide attempt. Either that or this guy is just a crazy stupid driver who rolled the dice and lost.
