To be fair, his original assessment was correct. Masks do very little to diminish your risk of getting infected. It was his change of guidance, where they are vital to our existence as a species, where science and politics collided and politics won.

Our society asked us to flatten the curve.
We did. And the same thing happened that always happened throughout the whole of time.
Government asked for an inch and took a mile.
Today’s business person did what they do too. They used the disaster to fire people, make employees work harder to weather the storm.... but did nothing to prepare for the next disaster. Next time they’ll be caught again, whine again and more people will be without jobs.
My kudos go out to restaurants who reengineered their business to accommodate and flourish delivery and take out. Many did nothing to prepare.
First time I ever agreed with Meghan McCain.
I thought her approach was interesting...she indirectly called attention to his complete ignorance and political motivations by pointing out (dramatically, saying this threatened her life) that he originally opposed masks. So it makes it clear that his switch to masks was motivated by something other than “science.”
I think she’s doing this hoping to redeem herself politically with the GOP. If she comes around, fine.
For now, seeing a notorious liberal attack Fauci is good and may make an impression.

Back in March he sounded more believeable to me. But for each month following it sounded more insane.
