Trump’s Choice — President or Kingmaker?

Will he run to be president again or will he choose to be a kingmaker—nurturing a candidate and a platform that can leave a far more lasting legacy?

My friends I'm leaning more towards kingmaker right now. He gave it his best shot and now it's up to us to do for him what we wouldn't(or couldn't)do. DeSantis is mentioned as having the 'it' factor. Trump will be 78 y/o and he will be quite effective cleaning out the RINO's over the next 2 years. He'll be in the heads of his enemies in both parties and pulling the strings. Imagine him as Speaker with a big smile on his face while Biden or Kamala is reading the SOTU speech. Priceless.

kingmaker...Pretty deliberate title if you ask me.

President or Candidate Support Leader is probably the better description.

Is there ANY honest non-vile reporting of President Trump?

Funny how I watched Being There (in my DVD collection) and there was the Melvyn Douglas comment about being a "kingmaker" in it, lol.

What’s the problem with both if he’s up to it when the time comes!

Kristi Noem: conservative, Trump MAGA supporter, congresscritter, governor, rancher, #2A supporter, attractive, can win the women’s vote, and can shut out phony Nikki Haley.

F the Kingmaker BS ... there is NO ONE ELSE comparable to Donald J. Trump to nurture ... besides, i don’t see DJT accepting a subsidiary role ... all of this assuming his health holds out ...

Does he want to do that again? There may be a way for him to have an even greater impact.

Ron DeSantis doesn’t have the Twitter trail that turns off some voters.

For now, he should focus on two priorities: First, create a new Contract with America

Perhaps he should focus on the Kingmaking, but not just that. What I mean is perhaps there are a few ongoing causes Trump can work on improving or maintaining in the future.
The prime example is Jimmy Carter’s association with the Habitat for Humanity organization. Jimmy does not own it, but occasionally becomes active in it, and at his leisure.

If Trump did this, he needs to be ready for some diehard Libs threatening to boycott and ‘protest’ his name being connected with anything public at all. It can still work if done in a slow and gradual way.
Mr. Trumps long term project may be some kind of Social Media network. I can see that as being part of his legacy.

The powers that be will make sure that most, if not all, Trump picks are rejected with their election fraud in 2022. The the establishment will blame Trump so he is no longer relevant. Today’s scotus rejections of the election cases was done because they knew they would have to rule in Trump’s favor. America has been over for a long time, but now it should be obvious to us all. There is no pretending any more.

The new contract: Start with eliminating all taxes on SSI. Next allow millenials(those under 40) to start their own program and pay current retirees out of the general fund. Wither on the vine (SSI) for 50 years. Give $1k to all newborns in the form of an index fund-no withdrawal until age 59.

Both.

He needs to get a great House team together.

Run for the House.

Get named Speaker of the House.

Then ... ‘do unto others’

Personally, not that anyone asked, I would not vote for her at this time. The people of her state voted to decriminalize a plant and she is going against their will. The criminalization of weed is based on awful policy and politics and it should be up to citizens of each state to decide how to treat marijuana. South Dakota voted on it, and now Noem is trying to suppress that vote with nitpicky nonsense.

Kingmaker without doubt, but keep the left guessing. This article merely scratches the surface of what DJT can achieve. He can/will build a dominant new coalition. A few of my thoughts:

1. Do NOT treat Romney, Kasich, Flake et al. the same as McConnell, Haley and others. Those on the first list are risible, incompetent and irredeemable; those on the second are talented and badly needed, if also mistaken. Trump should concede nothing to the second group but at the right time welcome them back into the fold and forgive everything.

2. With bold, ambitious and generous new policy proposals, seek to enlist specific large groups of moderate Democrats. Immigration affords the most potential upside, just for example, especially with so much installed wall system as a foundation.

3. Refuse to get down in the weeds on nonsensical stuff and instead choose no more than 5-7 policy areas for scathing and relentless attacks on Dems. The corporate media deliberately harps on down-in-the-weeds nonsense to distract from their left-wing broadsides. We need to stop falling for this.

I trust DeSantis. Noem will soon be 50. 50 is the new 30 making her too young.

Remember it’s the GOP who will have control over redistricting. Trump can light a fire under their butts, including those where the cheating occurred.
