Looks like we are going to get some weather.
The Saturday Summary is what he posts for the public (nonsubscribers). It isn’t always on Saturday though.

I’ve followed Joe for years, he’s very educational.
Unfortunately he’s been way off on his long range winter forecasts for the last 2 years, which is what he gets paid to do. At least he’s been way off for the central west, where I live and so that’s what I watch for. He may have done fine in other parts of the country.
He’s also gotten more silly, unfortunately he thinks he’s a comedian too.
I stopped following Joe. Nice guy, brilliant, perhaps. But he’s been less than no help. Last winter I’m in the garage tuning skis when I should have been re-gripping my golf clubs.
IIRC, he had big bragging rights 4-5 years ago but has had it tough for at least 2 years. Hopefully he’ll make a comeback. I still like seeing his map selection, the European takes and all that.
I assumed Bastardi wad a play on Biden.
As I understand his methodology, Bastardi focuses on historical patterns and not predictive models based on current observations. Obviously there are problems with that, as every weather system is unique.
However, I’d bet that Bastardi has a far better track record than the pure modelers who they they can track every input that produces the weather.
