“BTW, the Trusted Man will be giving a
speech at CPAC!”
Sending warm wishes your direction.
We’ve begun to
thaw a bit here. Still, no water as
yet other than a slow trickle from
time to time. Methinks our nation
continues to expose caring individuals
who do show kindness and consideration;
however, our days of raising pioneers
willing to enter the unknown territory
in search for adventure is flailing.
No way on God’s green earth would this body
attempt to make a journey via covered wagon
at this stage in life.
What about the cowboys? Louis L’Amour’s tales of the West. Texas at its romantic peak?
In this respect at least, the Northerner who live in cold weather all the time learn their virtues.
Here in Georgia, I find, the neighbors in the burbs seem less likely to know each other. Dangerous to stereotypes, I guess, but I think the closeness to natural disasters alters the peoples’ community spirit.
In Japan where I lived for 3 years, community is quite essential considering the typhoons, torrential rainfalls, volcanoes, tsunamis, floods, and mud slides that are a regular occurrence.
So count your blessings V.K. What you lost in water, you may have gained in fellowship with your neighbors...
Glad to hear you’re recovering...
