Patent for a drug is around 20 years. That’s 20 years of people taking it and any side effects being reported. Easy to do an internet search and see what the issues are - make notes and discuss with the Dr. and it’s cheaper.
VIOX was the most recent Rx that I declined early on-had friend that tried to convince me to go back to the Dr. and tell him I’d changed my mind. No thanks.
ThankQ for your clarification. The time in market is important to see AEs in the general/patient population. However, I have concerns about generic rx manufacturers, vs the major drug houses. The source of manufacture is important too. Many are outsourced to China and India.
