I just bought a 2019 Equinox and it’s the same way. When I pull up to a light it throttles back and if I push harder on the brake it shuts itself off. As soon as I let off the brake it starts back up. I retired my 2000 pickup and bought the new one and 21 years has made a huge difference in the way things work.

What happened on January 6, 2021 was part of a well prepared contingency plan to disrupt President Trump’s chances of contesting the election results riddled with accusations of fraud.

My F-150 had the auto shut-off, but through the magic of an aftermarket tune, it no longer does that. And it also gained a good deal of horsepower too. But the big thing is the auto shut-off is disabled, and the transmission shifts the way I like it to shift, not the “economy at all costs” way that Ford had set it up initially. Still get 20-22 on the highway, not bad for a large 4-door crew cab pickup truck.
