“Rates have been depressed due to weather effects.”

I believe that. Also, Monday was a Federal Holiday.

Next week (26th) they will meet on the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and approval is expected within days.

When a third major producer joins the fray, that should provide a shot in the arm for the Program’s numbers (little pun there). The effect will likely ramp up through March, as they get to full rate production.

I’ve said for several weeks that the vaccination plans lacked specifics on how the shots would be administered. The Trump administration correctly left that to the states. However, the Trump administration could have insisted that the states provide that as part of their state plans. The states should have identified the vaccination locations, hours of operations, and more specifically, how should individuals apply for appointments, how individuals would be informed of their status and appointment dates. Instead those plans merely repeated federal guidelines for priorities, etc,.
