Quite frankly I see both the GoP and the Democrats disintegrating. It would make a lot more sense for there to be at least 5 different parties -->

1. Socially conservative small gov (similar to liberatarians)
2. Socially conservative big gov
3. Socially middle, middle gov
4. Socially liberal small gov (libertarian?)
5. Socially liberal big gov

A lot of the black people I knew in Arkansas were socially very conservative, but voted blindly D due to perceptions. Ditto for many white Rust-belt folk until Trump.
