I just got here today. Threw my bag in the Air BnB, drove next door ajd got 2 beers and a pint of whiskey, then drove to my property.

Every oak tree has damage from the ice storm but no dead trees.

I met one of my old timer neighbors who was out driving around on his 4x4.

I called him “Mr. Beaumont” until he got tired of it and made me call him Sam.

I had been walking my property trying to pace out the revised survey so I would know where one particular line was located.

A neighboring property owner had their well dug and power brought to the corner of their lot. The electric company will throw up poles and wore for 600 feet no charge and lo and behold they brought it across property!

So I have power on to my property right where I intended to put my home.....PERFECTO!!!

Seeing the adjacent lot with a new capped well is a good sign too. I have to find out who they are and how deep they had to go for water.

My feet are dead dog tired from walking over the uneven rocky ground.....may have a blister or too.

The soul looks good... .something about cattle grazing and pooping everywhere makes for good soil!

Going to catch some live music tonite.

Meeting 2 homebuilders tomorrow.

Sunday I am doing a photo shoot with a young lady who moved here from Seattle and whom I have photographed a few other times. We were going to shoot out on my property but this Air BnB is very cute so probably shooting indoors mostly.

Monday I am filing some agricultural paperwork with the county that will keep property taxes very low.

Then fly home Tuesday....back to the grind.

Oh....and I have rapidly moved up the promotional list due to all the supervisors retiring and getting replaced.

I am now 13th on the Sgt list......should get promoted sometime this year, probably around Xmas.

Did I mention I found some ancient seeds iny dad’s garage???

I am going to pile a bunch of cow pies up and throw down a couple of bags of potting soil on top of them...and just throw the seeds in the dirt and see what is there when I come back in May....a little science experiment if you will.
