That is a real problem that used to be discussed openly and honestly; many black Americans (especially in cities) had no role models because they didn’t know anyone who worked - or was educated in any meaningful way.

Bingo. You nailed it. My father got up and went to work every single day. I never saw him call in sick or have a hangover. Sometimes he worked two jobs. He imparted his work ethic to me. I have no doubt that without my father as a role model, I would have turned out way differently, most likely for the worse.

I think the problem is they black people just don’t believe in a reasonable bed time. You always here about blacks getting killed at 3 or 4 in the morning. Only reason to be awake at that hour is your a paramedic, a fireman, a policemen or a criminal. Go to bed at 11 and not only would they live longer lives, but get more sleep!
