Well, far more than half of Rona patients hospitalized are us old people. So I would not be surprise to see some heart damage. Especially when you consider that a major comorbidity is obesity.

So, basically, duh.

Let’s not let logic ruin a good panic.

Yeah, the majority of Covid patients in the hospital I work in a re elderly. I live in Ocean County, NJ where one out of three people is over the age of 70 but for the past few months we’ve been seeing a lot a people in their 30’s,40’s and 50’s too.

Most of them turn out to be ‘’high risk’’ which means it’s more likely just the flu.

Most of the people I see admitted with/for Covid are not at all obese. I think they may have stayed thin by smoking though. I have seen countless heart attack victims come through my ER too and they’re rarely obese believe it or not. They’re frequently smokers though. I have seen athletic 40 year olds have heart attacks in fact. The last one I remember died right on the basketball court. he received immediate high quality CPR from a physician he was playing with but he never came back. Without getting too specific, it would be an understatement to say that he was in good shape. He wasn’t even 50 years old yet.

The Party has taken note of your failure to be properly frightened, comrade.

‘So, basically, duh.’

yeah, I had a blocked posterolateral artery 13 years ago (I am now 72 years old), and my troponin level was raised to a minimal threshold allowing it to be termed an NSTEMI, which is in fact a heart attack...and I didn’t even have Covid...

thing is, lots of underlying conditions can affect troponin levels, so NSTEMI’s are tricky, and often overlooked...I could become immune to covid tomorrow, and drop dead by nightime from a heart attack...

I was very strong and athletic before I got covid. Now I can hardly walk across my back yard without panting. Swimming, digging in my garden, riding, cutting the grass—I can’t get enough air in to do anything anymore. I suspect some kind of damage to my heart or lungs.
