I think my post after yours is along the same lines. They might as well say they show signs of aging and obesity.
You asked the right question, particularly considering the fact that so many hospitalized Wuhan Virus patients had pre-existing comorbidity issues, often blood pressure and or cardiac related - so yes, the question becomes what did MRI scans of the heart show before hospitalization for the virus.
That is not a question that should be asked. /s

They looked the same so the authors did not think it was necessary to print identical images. Wastes paper, you know. Part of being green.

What are they using as a baseline? Nothing, to be sure. It wouldn’t fit the narrative.
