Critical Race Theory Is Coming to Your Suburban Community
American Thinker ^ | 19 Feb, 2021 | Linda R. Killian

Radicals pushing a Marxist and racist pedagogy called Critical Race Theory (CRT) have achieved their goal of destroying quality education in K-12 school systems in New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and other large, progressive-controlled cities. But if suburban parents think they are safe from these depredations due to the existing quality of their school systems and parental involvement, they are wrong. CRT has already quietly established residence in affluent suburban communities under the benign-sounding guise of Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CR-S) under the aegis of state education departments, teachers’ unions and the burgeoning CRT industry.

For example, in 2018, the New York State Board of Regents engaged the New York University/Steinhardt Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools to develop a “framework for culturally-responsive-sustaining education. As a result of the Regents’ adoption of the resulting guidance document, students and parents in the affluent suburbs in Westchester County, which is immediately north of New York City, are being subjected to efforts to perform “equity audits”, “cultural proficiency training” and culturally responsive educational programs.

While the language of CR-S may seem benign at first sight, these programs are based on CRT, an ideology that seeks educational “equity” by uprooting the biases between the oppressors (white, privileged students) and the oppressed (non-white students).

If you are not oppressed then you are an oppressor. If your group is not oppressed then your group is an oppressor. Marxism and Cultural Marxism.

I’m constantly amazed that we’re even talking about this commie crap in our country. But I’m like Rip Van Winkle awakening to a nightmare in reality. All this cultural bullchit grows on us like a wart. I’m ashamed of our “leaders” that have led us astray and left us no choice but to fight for freedom.

“critical race theory” is a wedge to expand government power AND to distract people from the illegitimate processes that help government gain power for which it was never intended in the USA; it is such a “hot button trigger issue” that its easy for all to avoid the larger, greater consequence

“critical race theory” or “white privilege” training that the city recently imposed on its employees likely violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race”

https://prairiepundit.blogspot.com/2020/09/critical-race-theory-teaching-violates.html

ultimately ANY process that erodes Constitutional protections of individuals is now going to be championed by the government

If rural communities can keep this ignorant stuff out of our schools, rural children will be the only well educated kids left. College will be challenge, but with a good education K-12, and find a good school for STEM (if possible in the future), those children will be the only qualified people in society.

At some point, people will wonder way bridges fall down regularly, things blow up unexpectedly, and nothing works anymore anywhere. Then, merit will come back in style and the rural folks will be the only ones who can do anything.

This is a direct inversion of the racist lie that blacks have the Mark of Cain and are thus morally inferior to whites, so it is fine to enslave and “educate” them.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Homeschooling is HIGHLY recommended, as a lot have said.
And I would like to add:

ATTEND EVERY (or what you can) BOARD MEETINGS.
RUN for any openings.

MAKE YOUR PRESENCE and VOICES HEARD.

I am of the opinion most people are SCARED to speak out because we know the names and shaming they try to hoist upon us. But sit back and wait for others to speak up. Then when someone does, the more speak up.

We have to chose to make our voices heard. They are really SCARED OF US. That is why they try so hard to keep us quiet.

“Quality education” does not come from government schooling.

Conservatives have their heads up their rear ends in regards to education, sorry to say. And the Republic will end because of it.

“We need to keep this sh*t OUT OF OUR SCHOOL SYSTEMS.”

It is out of most Christian schools already.

It is the government schools that have a problem. How many conservatives will post here about how we need to stop this, and then do nothing, when it can be stopped immediately by making some important family choices as to public vs private education or homeschooling?

Most of the kids in our country go to “government schools” as you say ... and we need to fight this BS hate crap dripping from the left.

School choice - more stories in the press about teachers who hate Trump, his followers AND their children would be a start.

Voting against all local education taxes would help...

And yeah, progressive teachers do have ‘favorites’ and kids they don’t like. You can guess which group OUR kids would fall into... It’s time ... to protect our children.

They are government schools. They are funded and controlled by government.

Please name one meaningful victory that we’ve had in changing government schools in the past 40 years. In particular, describe the positive changes in worldview of graduating students.

The progeny of pro-government school “conservatives” are by and large known as “progressives”.

Those of us who are homeschoolers or who support private Christian education do not support vouchers (aka control). I’ll take a property tax rebate though.

How about I list the horrible changes progressives have made to our schools in the last 40 years? Their a political group just like us... why are they winning this battle and we're NOT? Maybe WE need to change our game plan.

The system needs to be abandoned. It is NOT salvageable and we need to cut our losses now if we want to save the Republic. No harm in trying, but anyone leaving children in that humanist system while trying to change it, is NUTS.

Spending one’s time and resources helping less fortunate children make an exodus from the system should be priority #1 in education.

What is wrong with conservatives?? We are digging our own graves and in complete denial about it.
