If you think life is stressful today, just imagine trying to pull off a successful dinner party with your peers back in the 1940s.
The diners in this 15 minute video are just so earnest and eager to please each other while doing the right thing, always. Even though they screw up multiple times. Especially that Bob.
Bob has a lot to learn, as you shall see.
I just want to marry every girl at that table.

Anybody responding before 7:25 (ET) did NOT see the whole video. I would highly recommend watching the video in its entirety.
I am going to change my whole way of eating. Going to have to order a lot more plates and silverware, for starters.

This was the era at which my mother was about five years older. She was in a High School sorority and they graduated in ‘37 as I recall. Most delayed marriage or had a dampened start to their marriage due to the war.
When she passed near 90, she still had the picture of her sorority sisters as well as a recent letter from another of the still surviving 3 of the original 12 by her bedside. They had formed a dinner club and a bridge club after the war and remained friends for the next 65 years.
They shared the relief of the war’s end, the joy and trials of marriage and family and the trials of age together. The last one passed away at 93 in 2012 as I recall but they sure taught their children how to live.
