I don’t expect to be “back to normal” as long as the gubmint proclaims it is protecting vulnerable people with its newfound controls - and they can claim that for years to come. A lot of people don’t want this rushed “vaccine”; never mind the possible side effects - they can’t run “news” stories that the benefit may only last a few months and expect people to see it as a solution.
Maths is hard. Their numbers don’t add up and percentages don’t either. What they are saying is here are raw numbers, and the percents are our guesses.
It’s no accident that many of the lower population percentages are with the earlier-to-get-covid states. Loads of infections were not detected because they only tested the very ill.
The Dakotas were at the very end. Anyone who wanted a test could get one.
The number of new cases has been dropping like a rock. Perhaps you have a scientific theory about that.
The number of new case has been dropping dramatically. It's February, not July.
Long Island has had their schools open since mid September. For example, my school district has only missed one day.
My state, Virginia, is run by a “herd” of Democrat Party jackasses. The only immunity they have is from common sense, fiscal responsibility, prosecuting many types of crime, getting rid of illegal aliens (esp. the dangerous ones), keeping taxes down, and doing things efficiently.
They have reached “herd immunity”, known to sane people as “herd insanity”.
Their new state slogan is “Yes we are”!
Disgusting that the media now talks about herd immunity but if someone in the Trump administration ever mentioned it they would automatically be judged as cruel because they wanted everyone to get it rather than trying to stop everyone from getting it.
They have revised the testing process and quit doing the bastardized PCR testing where they multiply the specimens 40 X (that's exponential not a simple multiple). They are now only doing ~30 X.
Biden is in office so they don't need the inflated data to maintain control and squash the Trump economy.
Are you not paying attention to the control of the teacher's unions?
Are you not paying attention to the inconsistencies WITHIN the Biden administration, the press secretary, and the CDC?
They first pretend that 1 day/week of in person class is an "open school". Then they say they are targeting to have 10% of schools "open" by Fall.
You listed NY public schools being closed.
i simply responded that most in NYS schools outside of NYC have been open since September.
Something has to explain why the daily cases will be under 20,000 in weeks.
