I refuse to read one word of this after reading the title - “Reparations for slavery could have reduced Covid-19 transmission and deaths in the USA”.
In Puerto Rico we have a new governor. This one is a Democrat but so far seems much more reasonable than our previous “Republican” Governor.
He has relaxed the previous Governor’s EOs significantly. Almost fully open except for a midnight to 5:00 AM curfew, which he has said he wants to eliminate. Apparently the problem seems to be how to control the “After-Party” crowds which here is almost every night.
Our Covid hospitalizations are and remain the lowest they have been since the summer, and our death rate is still in the lowest 10 in the United States.
Our weather is lovely this time of the year, and over President’s Day weekend, our hotels had the best occupancy they’ve had since Spring Break was cancelled last year: over 85%.
To top it off, the new Governor declared a new state of emergency, but this time to mandate schools to OPEN.
Just my opinion but death virus cases should plummet in Texas due to Winter Storm Biden.
