Regular sized candy bars were $.06 when I was in elementary school. It was an outrage when they jumped up to $0.10.

My daddy would give me about 50 cents - a dollar on Sundays - to ride my bike down to the 7-Eleven and buy him a newspaper - and I could keep the change.
I got rich on that!

We are probably around same age. I remember when the Marathon bars went to 15 cents because they were about a foot long. They even had a ruler on the back to prove it. Most of the other bars were still a dime. Things like York Peppermint Patties and Reeses Peanut Butter cups were still a nickel.
