That’s what I thought. If this was a pictorial of a memorial event of her life there are a few things missing. We are told Ashli spent nearly half of her life in uniform, very significant, right? There isn’t one photo of her in uniform, but several of her wrapped or displaying an American flag,,,,,,just like she was at the Capitol building, almost like staged patriotism. I am not sure, but no shots of her grieving family, either.

In reading the TIMES magazine article on line, there is a photo of Ashli on her MARYLAND drivers license. Why did she have a Maryland DL,living in California? Did she just move to CA?

Her family does not have to justify how the grieve to anyone. No one said it was a military memorial service. That she was military does not mean she automatically gets a military funeral if her family does not request one.

In post #26, I explain how fabricated evidence is used to claim Babbitt was a crisis actor. In your following posts you have not acknowledged the evidence was faked and continuously changed the subject. Now you are implying her memorial service was faked, going back to the claim she was a crisis actor, that you have are unable to defend other than by deflection and baiting.

If her family held a memorial, and nearly all the news ignores it, does her family care what people post on the internet two days later?

There were five people who died January 6th, none of them are getting major coverage anymore. I posted a link to GP's article on her memorial service. If that's how her family mourns, the lack of news coverage or any opinions of it will not change the fact that it happened.

Think about this picture, how and the news manages to shape perception no matter how much people distrust them:

On one hand, most Americans distrust most of the news because they manipulate stories for their own ends. On the other, we still expect someone somewhere in the news to report what we want to hear. and justify what we justified regardless of how much people distrust the news. Then we let what the news reports, does not report, and how, shape our perceptions regardless. This does not make sense to me.

I'm not concerned with her family or how they "mourn". My concern is that she was supposedly shot inside the Capitol and only a 2nd rate website is saying anything about it. Frtom what I have gleaned;

"Babbitt served a total of 12 years in the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and Air National Guard as a Security Forces Controller and had the enlisted rank of senior Airman, the Air Force confirmed Thursday."

"She served in the active-duty Air Force from 2004 to 2008, in the Reserves from 2008 to 2010, and the National Guard from 2010 to 2016. Air Force officials say security force controllers are responsible for providing security at Air Force bases."

12 years should have counted for SOMETHING

Now, the possibility arises that she might not have a high opinion of her service, she DID after all leave in 2016, 5 years ago, and could very well have been turned away from being American proud of her military experience.

Or her discharge after 12 wasn't the best.

Either way ... the family and friends did not recognize her service at all.

So ....

Who was she and what was she doing there ?

There is no way she was a SRA at 12 years. She would have been booted out years before for not making E-5. This is BS.

A poster on another thread said she was E5 until she got mouthy with an officer and she left at an E4. I have no link to that info. She’s described as a ‘boisterous firecracker’ and “loud, cocky, braggadocious” in a Daily Mail article.
