My grandparents were hard working lower-middle class people. My grandmother worked as a seamstress in the Garment District for many years. My grandfather had been a cab driver.
Lol! You believe that BS? He simply moved onto a new type of scam, a legal one. Cashing in with his books and public speaking events on his his in the Mob. He's said many times that he loved and misses "the life". If he didn't get caught and sent to prison, he'd likely still be making his money that way. Most of these guys are full of it. Classic con men til the end.

I stumbled on to his YouTube channel a couple of months ago. First rate content. Freepers will enjoy the one about whether Donald Trump was ‘mobbed up’ or not. I won’t spoil it but it is worth a watch.

How do you know which politicians I believe and which I don’t? Do you always say or write stuff without thinking or knowing anything? I’m still trying to understand why you lumped me in with the likes of John Fonda Kerry, asking “what about his gramps” (being buried in that cemetery) when I mentioned mine were. Then you add at the end, No, wait, they (Kerry’s grandparents) weren’t buried there. You need to screw your head on more tightly.

There are a lot of these wise guys talking now. For whatever reason. I would guess that most are out of money.
The NY families were a little more civilized, if that can be said, than the Chicago outfit.
A few make it out of the headspace that kept them in. Compare to Frank Abegnale, a counterfeiter crook and bank fraudster who reformed completely and went on to help the FBI and many corporations to solve fraud crimes. He was tne subject of a great movie, Catch Me If You Can.
