“He lost me when he told the bimbo to do more reporting like PBS.”
“I know. . .too bad he can’t strike that from the record.”
I thought it was kind of funny, in an ironic way. Consider:
1) Given how bad the fake network news is, PBS might actually be a few tics better. I don’t know. I don’t really watch either.
2) The same libs and leftists who watch the fake network news also watch PBS, or at least respect PBS and think it is on their side. Thus, I think the attorney was smart not to dump on PBS and instead make them out to be something the networks should aspire to.
Let’s face it, he would have lost some of the libs who might have started to think for a change upon hearing his beatdown of the reporter if he had told her she should be more like the people on OANN or America’s Voice.
IMHO... PBS is fractionally better than the rest of the Media.
They have a very strong leftist bias, but they are not quite so willing to put out obvious, direct lies.
That is the way I took his PBS comment too...it was salt in wound he had just given her, a beat down in the beat down. He is a smart guy.
I see socialism as evil - but weirdly - I have to put some of the sincere, straightforward socialists on PBS in a different class from the lying scumbags in the fake news who are paid propagandists and have no problem gaslighting the American people, destroying people with scandals they know are fake - and stealing elections.
Yes, socialism is evil, but as long as the misguided leftists who lean toward socialism are fair and honest, we can debate it and settle the matter according to the Constitution.
I think Van der Beer was lamenting about the dishonesty and hypocrisy of today’s crop of socialists - who are impossible to peacefully co-exist with - not the misguided leftists who disagree - but are honest about it and respect the Constitution.
I am not defending socialism - it is inherently evil - I’m just saying there is room for vast disagreement in a peaceful society, but only if there is honesty.
It is the dishonesty on the LEFT that is ruining everything, not the policy differences. I think that is what Van der beer was angry about - and why his anger is so refreshing to see. That is exactly what we all should be angry about.
