They used to have Frost Fairs on the frozen Thames. Big gatherings and celebrations. The last one was in 1814, during the Little Ice Age. At that time, the river had not been dredged. It was shallow and slow moving and susceptible to freezing. It’s a different river today. But to have the river actually freeze in the 21st century really shows that Global Warming is a joke.
Maybe the Frost Fairs will return!
