Oh, yes. Nazi Germany is destined to be the greatest country on earth. All other civilizations and peoples are inferior!

And to make things even more interesting, the Muslims have that same attitude.

The Nazis took it (and Jew hatred) from the musclemen, not the other way around.

He is getting his CV (curriculum vitae) / résumé in order for a job offer from one of our (USofA) Ivy League-type Universities.

"At the instigation of Doles, the cantor of the Thomasschule in Leipzig, the choir surprised Mozart by performing the motet for double choir, 'Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied,' by the patriarch of German music, Sebastian Bach. As soon as the choir had sung a few bars, Mozart started; after a few more he exclaimed: 'What is that?' And now his whole soul seemed to be centered in his ears. When the song was ended, he cried out with delight: 'Now, here is something one can learn from!'

Just sayin'. Wolfie realized JSB was his musical boss from that moment forward.

Especially if he is composing music under the nom de plume, J.S. Bach Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Especially if he is composing music under the nom de plume, J.S. Bach Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Tupac Shakur. [Ducking - It is (?) something month after all!]

Seriously, who will be there in another century, I know my vote, G.F.Handel!

My local university has a large Chinese student population. All the students have assigned handlers that seem to exercise great control over the students' activities.

I'm in a tennis group with one of the minders, who is a Chinese medical doctor, though he plays medical researcher at the big U. He gets many of the students involved in tennis. He also writes a column for a local newspaper (probably for free, as its circulation is struggling.)

As it happened, I asked him one day where he gets his racket(s) restrung. He laughed and said he never gets a racket restrung. He says he has over forty rackets left to him by his "former students." It seems when they go back to China, some of them leave him their racket that they would have purchased in the US, as the likelihood for most of them playing in China is apparently very low. (Few courts, expensive(?))

If a racket of his needs restringing, he just pulls a different racket from his supply. They're apparently generally good rackets ($80-$200). He gave me five rackets to try out. $20 each if I want to keep any.

They're always building more tennis courts in China, so my local Chinese tennis doctor may well see a larger percentage of "his students" keeping their rackets when they go back to China, even as his supply of rackets increases.

At the courts a few days ago, I was impressed to see a hulking Chinaman of military age set to play. Hmmmm. I'm sure he has no trouble wielding a high caliber, large-magazine automatic weapon. He also had a deferential female (wife?) half his size with him.

I believe the big U is definitely addicted to the Chinese money. The big U's Chinese student thing is definitely a racket.
(All the above is true; that was just a pun.)

An epic battle between the “We wuz kangz” and the “we wuz Chineze” is afoot. Should be fun.

motet for double choir, ‘Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied,’ by the patriarch of German music, Sebastian Bach.

Sebastian Bach, is a Canadian singer-songwriter who achieved mainstream success as the frontman of heavy metal band Skid Row from 1987 to 1996. He continues a solo career, acted on Broadway, and has made appearances in film and television such as Trailer Park Boys and Gilmore

So there ...

Wolfie realized JSB was his musical boss from that moment forward.

your opinion, not any other classical music critic. Bach is too rigid and formal for my tastes

China will do nothing but decline, if they cannot correct their demographic decline.

your opinion, not any other classical music critic.

Fact. And also the opinion of every single Baroque music critic. I have nothing against Wofgang and his melody melody, scales scales scales, melody melody, scales scales scales manner of composition. Mozart is appropriate for the elevator music crowd, but he's no Bach.

The professor’s thinking seems amusing, at first. But it is actually very dangerous. China is destined to be the greatest country on earth. All other civilizations and peoples are inferior!

What I find absurd is the professor’s need to say something like this. China is the only ancient culture still doing business at the same stand, using pretty much the same language, etc. China cut itself off from the rest of the world 500 years ago in the belief it had nothing to learn.

As for the idea that China is the greatest and other civilizations are inferior, that has been China’s belief for millennia. The fewer connections to China a people have, the less human they are.

Wrong reason. Western Civ was faked to weaken the glory of African Civ.
