The dirty little secret behind cancel culture is that it derives its power from your lack of commitment to your own values and standards.
Cancel culture isn’t a singular thing. It’s a collection of strategies and tactics, each designed to use the power of the collective against the individual. Typically, the cancel mob starts with some attacks on Twitter or Facebook. This could escalate into dramatic and accusatory videos on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, and then goes on from there. Sooner or later, and this is the goal, the news media gets involved, validating those attacks by taking them as legitimate.
The end result is someone gets fired, loses a contract, or a company has its products removed from shelves. People get deplatformed from social media or lose their mass media platforms. It’s a 2021 village shunning with real consequences. The medieval village mob is now a virtual mob but the hysteria is the same.
In today’s cancel culture, the triggers for the cancel mob are often unpopular statements, actions, or decisions, but it doesn’t stop there.
The cancel mob can put a target on your back for not speaking up. For doing business with their primary target. Any unsuspecting individual, organization, or company can be faced at any time with the cancel mob.
The kneejerk response, typically, is to practice realpolitik. That is, to avoid taking a stand that’s based on values, but rather to pragmatically do whatever is necessary to make the mob go away. Find out what they want, do it, hope they leave.

It is just words, but it is used as a tool of war. Maybe that is how it has to be dealt with.
Why not just ignore all these dweebs, until the point they step inside your ‘personal zone’, and then their nose makes an inviting target?
Start by simply responding ‘I block you’.
I think this is a situation where pointing at them and laughing is appropriate. If enough normal people do that they will start to lose power.
These cyber-bullies have “power” that the media and their targets give them, as well as our elected officials not standing up and defending our country’s history and values. Eventually, this will get to a very low level and it will be the average person who will stand up and resist, punch back at the bullies. The process may be painful, but either we will end up being slaves or free people.
As far as I know, Goya and Pillow Man have not cowered, and these demonkkkrap cyber-bullies, part of the party’s Thought-Police unit, seem to have moved on after getting some companies like Bed, Bath and Beyond, reportedly with shaky financials, to drop Mike Lindell’s products.
“... The medieval village mob is now a virtual mob but the hysteria is the same...”
It’s all been done before and where unions are concerned, it still goes on.
Union goons and Al Sharpton have done this for a very long time.
Past time to Defund the Left
US style cancel culture which is being promulgated by the left and not fought against by the right is scaring the Euros which I find both ironic and laughable..
Lack of commitment to your own values and standards.
Proof the cancel culture is just a shallow group of people united for the act of power.
Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac

A small and dedicated group at the core of a movement can do many things.
Their easiest opponents are the apathetic, and the “enlightened” that think they’re smarter or better than others.
The Dims have a hardcore group and they are herding creatures, so they stick together very well. The Repukes are filled with feckless cowards and “enlightened” that believe they are smarter than the rest of us.
