"Social media has become a cancer that is destroying this country....."

That's been its goal from the beginning.

"let her wear it."

If you're the owner of this restaurant, do you really think that policy is a winner?

Make masks part of the servers uniform, the mask provided by the owner, the terms of employment are that you wear the mask provided by mgt and only that mask. Simple.

let her wear it. I wear my Thin Blue Line mask all over and get dirty looks.

Do you wear your Thin Blue Line mask at work? Your employer has no objections?

This woman is a waitress at a restaurant - it is more than understandable that her employer does not want controversy.

People go there to eat, not to be confronted with politics.

Regards,

Restaurant would have been better off seeing this coming, and having a firm policy of only allowing plain masks, with no design or logo.

Better yet, supplying staff with company masks with restaurant logo.

That’s what they did.

Exactly!

The restaurant needs to press charges against the perpetrators.

Remember the earlier Starbucks initiative where all employees were told to write Sharpie notes on coffee cups such as “Let’s talk about racism today” and “I want to talk with you about race.” Went over really big with the clientele./SARC

Division by politics over each face mask will work wonders, too. After the Covid lockdowns why not empty out the places by political rancor?/s
