We should ignore the murder rates as well.
If #BLM were an intellectually honest movement, they’d be addressing the cultural issues surrounding the vast majority of murders of blacks, which are by other blacks, and happen at much higher rates than for whites, and not focusing on statistically insignificant incidents of police shootings of blacks.
A couple of weeks ago a young black man was shot and killed by another young black man in Florence, SC. In the newspaper article, the victim’s mother made the statement “I supported black lives matter- when are they going to address black-on-black crime?” I felt sorry for her not only for losing her son, but for her being naive enough to believe a political movement fostered concerns about people.
