My Dad bought a 33, 2 Dr; with outside trunk, in 33. It took our family(5) and small dog, from Miami to Lawrence County AL. every year till 53. Except 42-46. Before good roads 3 days, later 2 days. Luggage was place on rear floor, Bananas and Coconuts placed on platform on front bumper. A feature that these Fords had was an opening under the back seat(to access the Differential), When Dad didn’t want to stop, my two brothers and I used it as a urinal.
In 46, he replaced the fabric roof with a sheet of aluminum. It was sold, still running in 1955.
