Where did the money go? It's been known for a while that the Lincoln Project directed a lot of the donors' money to companies that just happened to be controlled by members of the Lincoln Project.

It’s called Vertical Integration.

Vertical integration is a strategy whereby a company owns or controls its suppliers, distributors or retail locations to control its value or supply chain. Vertical integration benefits companies by allowing them to control process, reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

It is considered an out moded business model these days but once was the preferred way of doing business.

Of course the Lincoln Project really didn’t produce anything but lying propaganda, but that shouldn’t throw shade on the business model should it?
