That really makes no sense...to survive covid and still take the experimental vaccine.

I agree - but he thinks it's the responsible thing to do, I'm thinking, in case of reinfection.
He's never heard of the vaccine injury court, and it's pretty obvious when I talk to him that he disapproves of our middle's decision not to vaccinate her children.
