I think they felt a little safer when they were busy trying to frame him with impeachment because they would then claim that he was trying to silence them to protect himself if any sort of action was taken to stop the steal.
So they are desperately flinging “stuff” at him now, in order to claim that he’s protecting himself if they should be served or subpoenaed.
They seem very preoccupied and concerned by a “former President” who no longer has any administrative power.
Of course, what happened in D.C. showed them that they do need to fear the people who know what they are and what they did to steal the election.

Definitely a stench of fear in the air.
