Fort Worth 100-vehicle pileup leaves at least 3 dead, multiple people injured: officials
fox ^ | 02/11/2021 | Peter Aitkin

The Fort Worth Police Department and local service Med Star are on the scene, as well, and assisting with the search and rescue.

Due to the icy conditions, the agencies are bringing in sand trucks to help improve law enforcement and the fire department’s ability to reach and assist people in need.

"This is obviously not something we deal with a lot in Fort Worth," Drivdahl said, referring to the ice and snow. "But we do have the resources to respond to it."

One ICE CUBE will cause a 12 vehicle pile up in DFW !!!

They don’t know how to SLOW DOWN, NOT SLAM ON THE BRAKES, NO SUDDEN STEERING INPUT and STEERING DOESN’T WORK WHILE THE BRAKES ARE ON !!!

We went to Ft Worth the day before Thanksgiving and got caught up in three big traffic jams caused by wrecks during that time.

If you have 4 wheel drive, the laws of physics don’t apply. You can drive on ice and snow the same way you drive on a dry road. Nothing bad can possibly happen.

Tell me about it.

I was driving up I-45 in Houston on Tuesday from the Clear Lake area up to Conroe.

I was doing 80 in the 2nd from the right lane (of 5), barely keeping up with the traffic flow, and being passed on both sides by cars, trucks, semi’s, and even a Prime delivery van.

One guy even shot me a bird because I was slowing him down.

We have a similar problem in parts of California when there is the rare ice or snow on the roads and streets.

Everyone tailgates and drives fast in the right lane.

And texting.

I forgot that. One of our male gene pools drives a 25 mile each way round trip to get to work.

He has become an expert at recognizing texting while driving.

One time while he was visiting he went to the store with me just to get out of the house.

At our one traffic light on that trip, at least 1 out of 3 east bound cars were weaving in and out of lanes as we were headed west bound. He said texters and many drivers had a cell phone in their hands while driving over the speed limit.

As a result my wife and I drive on the far north side of the west bound road.

Driven in Houston too. Houston scares me.

Icy conditions in Texas?

Not possible considering the Earf is only 3 degrees away from the temperature at the surface of the sun.

The fog around Bakersfield. About 10 feet visibility, maybe less.

Long lines of cars and big trucks, 70 mph plus, each driving off the forward guy’s tail lights, and close so they can see them.

If you pull off the road, better cover your rear lights and reflectors, or they will ‘follow’ you.

And guess what . . . any little glitch and it’s a 50 plus car pile-up.
