Google has quietly escalated censorship of its market-dominating search engine, adding a range of new topics where human moderators are allowed to manually penalize websites, suppressing them in search results.
If a website is affected by one of these manual acts of censorship, “some or all of that site will not be shown in Google search results,” according to the tech giant.

Publishers who have been hit with a manual action by Google will be able to appeal the decision by “fixing” whatever issue violated the policy and then submitting their website to Google for a review. Google states that it could take “several days or a week” for the tech giant to reach a final decision, leaving
Once upon a time, Google attempted to conceal its censorship of search. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai insisted, under oath before congress, that the company does not “manually intervene on any particular search result,” a statement that one of Google’s own former employees said was a lie.

Use DuckDuckGo, boycott google because they stink.
They actually don’t do it that way. They do it by changing what you’re searching for, without you knowing it. For example, you search on “Trump”, they change it to “Trump is an idiot” and then let search do their job. That way nothing can leak through. Again, all done in background, you never know it.
Google is rapidly diminishing its search engine to a child’s toy, effectively making it meaningless for obtaining useful information.
Pathetic. Proof positive that leftist ideology cannot be sustained under scrutiny.
They fear truth.
I’ve found Google has manipulated its search results into pure crap and propaganda.
Alternative sites, even Bing, give much more varied results, especially on “controversial” subjects - which now means anything dealing with modern history, economics, foreign countries - and politics, of course.
Their money-maker was (at least in the past decade) that they were a valued search engine. Once that goes away, and people realize it’s like a Crown Victoria with a 3-cyclinder engine...then there’s not much reason to use it for search activities.
Now, I will suggest this scenario...they have the money to buy competition (like DuckDuckGo), and it may reach a point where they just go and buy them...making them more crappy than Google itself.
I did a very specific search recently for a specific apartment (by name and city) and the first page of results were for other (mostly nearby) apartments. Pretty obvious those results were propped up because they had bought or were buying ads with the search engines.
This is a big problem when it comes to stiffing and slanting political information, but it’s not even just activist intervention. You can’t even get good information or relevant results when you are specifically searching for it, because the search engines are not neutral information gateways. They are a pay-to-play racket.
What’s Google ?
IIRC They did the same with Bush and failure.
Every time google pulls yet another stunt, they need to publicly have their noses rubbed in their own motto: “Don’t Be Evil”, in the same way a puppy gets its nose rubbed into the turd-pile they just made on the carpet.
Apparently I missed the memo about abject hypocrisy having become a virtue.
Guys have a little fun with it. Shop for lingerie and bikinis and get a nice surprise.
Websites stuffed with ads of scantily clad women.
“IIRC They did the same with Bush and failure.”
Yep, has been going on for a long time. Clever of them!
I use DuckDuckGo to avoid Google. The ONLY 2 things I use Google for is (1) they have a better selection of images when I am using Photoshop to make cute birthday cards for friends and (2) maps. I much prefer Google maps and the things I can do with them. With a right click, I can measure distances with with my mouse between 2 points, I can “walk” down unfamiliar streets so that when I drive there, I’ll recognize landmarks, and stuff like that. I haven’t found other map software which lets me do that. Otherwise, Google can drop dead with their little manipulation games.
Google is actually not a search engine. It is a mind control instrument at the service of the people who really control this country.
Google actively changes your searchstring.
It changes “ blacks kill white cops” to “white cops kill blacks”.
It changes “ bruce jenner” to “caitlyn jenner”.
Seems to be their model. Buy out the competition and then dismantle it.
They have been doing it to me for about a week now. All alternative news sites. I’ve been using duck duck go but even that doesn’t work half the time.
Duck Duck Go, people.
And as long as we’re on the subject, does anybody know a decent, non-woke alternative to Google Maps?
Boycott Google until Sundar Pichai is panhandling in the street.
While this may prevent tracking, it doesn't do anything about censorship.
As far as I know Duck Duck Go falls into this category of relying on Google for the heavy lifting.

This would appear to be an unfair business practice. Google and facebook will downthrottle your content views but you can “pay” for more visibility (wink wink). So you are penazlized unequally but can buy your way out.
Twitter, FB and others have caved to the censorship already. I can’t post Trump name or christian materials anymore.
I get Antifa.com signature under the WH BLUE PIC. They have two WH pics. One with White House underneath and one for FB and Twitter...
Antifa.com was on PRESIDENT-ELECT Biden WH page on Jan 6, 7, and beyond 2021. New Website now...but still using old one w Antifa.com when banning content on Twitter and FB.
