Apparently the name Tianwen means "astronomy" (combining the character that means "sky" and the character that means "writing"). But I haven't seen the Chinese characters and there is another Chinese word "wen" that means "mosquito." So maybe Tianwen-1 means "Sky Mosquito 1."
I don't know Chinese but have a Chinese-English dictionary.
