I do believe it's illegal. Yahoo is reporting just enough to push our buttons.

Illegal? Please cite the law being broken.

I can’t watch the NBA any less than I do already.

Maybe this will work in Portland but I doubt this goes over very well in Texas.

Do u think it’s played BEFORE EVERY sporting event because it’s so popular?

I'd respect Cuban more if he would've been public from day one, i.e. at the start of the season. Instead, he stays silent until today, after 13 home games.
Perhaps he thought he needed to change the narrative, as the Mavericks are near the bottom of the standings.

All part of the plan. And some people here are still in denial.

I think it’s played because that is a tradition and been a tradition for all of our lifetimes. I can’t imagine that there could be a law that would require such a thing. That said, there used to be a time when the vast majority of Americans were proud of their nation and were happy to stand for the anthem, even sing along.

They need to remove the N from NBA.
They’re now just a Basketball Association.

We never heard it, but maybe he’ll have that super bowl pair sing a jig instead.

They need to remove the N from NBA.Actually, they're a political organization known as the N***o Basketball Association. When they're not lobbying for their political cause, they get around to playing a basketball game or two.

I haven’t watched the s—show in 20 years. Cuban is a communist.

well cuban believes the players should be able to express themselves and he's all for it...
I'd like to see a player or coach PRAY before the games, head bowed, hands folded, and pray....

But WE are the anti-American insurrectionists.

It is played because the leagues to some extent or another require that the national anthem(s) be played prior to a game.
There should be no law that requires it, but in stadiums and arenas that are publicly owned and leased, the controlling authority could require it in the lease.
To: DIRTYSECRET
I guess Cuban supports the BLM activists who murdered five Dallas cops.
