“Congress could have pulled the plug any time they wanted. But they had committed to the dry states and pussed out”

No more than the citizens at the conventions pussed out by voting for it.

“No more than the citizens at the conventions pussed out by voting for it.”

Congress set up the process to handle in a particular way, created the wording to establish the policy, establishing the policy creating the penalties. And you are now supporting the decision that congress allowed the people to do that is causing the arrests you complain about saying the policy you called a blanket policy that won’t work is okay because it was voted in partially by the states when it was forced upon them and they were so interested in getting the policy in they didn’t consider the future deaths it would cause and couldn’t change it if they wanted to? And the politicians didn’t do this?

Give me a solution. I have to accept the one I have been handed, And it does no good to complain about it unless I want to try to get the country to go for another amendment again written by congress that I can’t change without halting the process without congrssional agreement. Then me and my future backers can fight the thing with them into the next few generations if they want and I can’t over ride them. We do not control the process, they do. And I don’t think you’re going to get the support you need to do this as people are happy with trying to break the law for their enjoyment and for others’ profit. Good luck

“it was forced upon them”

Nonsense - they had the option to vote no.

“the future deaths it would cause”

As I’ve pointed out twice already, DUIs rose sharply during Prohibition.

“And the politicians didn’t do this?”

The politicians and the citizens did it together.

“The politicians and the citizens did it together.”

They used to call this the forest for the trees. How can someone do something together if the outcome is determined by one side, and the other side cannot change it to what they want without stopping the process? That’s not doing it together, that’ the voters being led by the ear and told what they are going to get, period. The only thing the states did there was say they wanted alcohol so bad they’d be willing to be controlled under the laws and treated like the sheep you say they are acting like under a blanket policy you dislike which causes arrests for people breaking the law they accepted.

Give me a solution or don’t bother me with this.

What are you talking about? The 21st Amendment did only two things: repeal the 18th, and ban the importation of alcohol in violation of state or territorial law. Each state retained full control of alcohol policy within its borders.

and treated like the sheep you say they are

When did I say they were sheep?

acting like under a blanket policy you dislike which causes arrests for people breaking the law they accepted.

You're confused; the blanket policy is banning a substance rather than restricting or regulating it, which is what the 21st Amendment ended (at the federal level).

Get me a solution concerning the use of weed. Otherwise, you are part of the problem.

A solution to what - DUI and accessibility to minors? I've already posted the evidence that criminalization makes these problems worse. I don't believe these problems can be reduced to zero under any policy.
