I have a sneaking suspicion that 20 years from now when you're 67 your view of old people won't be the same as it is now.....LOL!
I look at my Grandfathers. Both retired with good pensions that included healthcare so neither suffered for money. One was happy to grow old in the same house that he raised his kids in. The other retired and moved near Sedona, AZ. One would stop off and visit his daughters in turn once a week and have everyone over for pancakes most Sundays. The other idled away his days in front of the TV with a bottle of whiskey and my grandmother for company and to entertain himself would go down to the local VFW hall for a few drinks.
I can tell you who the happier one was, he was the one I grew up around. Retirement communities are unnatural.
