These are the seven proposed name changes and all suck, imo.
Elk, Evergreens, Evergolds, Eclipse, Elkhounds, Eagles and Elements
Personally, since Eskimo means Flesh Eater, I would have chosen that. What better sports name can you have than the Edmonton Flesh Eaters?

So the owners have required the name be alliterative?
FFS who cares? The national flag has a single maple leaf as the national symbol. Not the whole tree, just one dead red leaf. Right up there with the Welsh wearing Leeks on their head gear.
