Sitting on the boat just now, catching up on FR, a knock on the hull and a voice: “Police department”.

I threw open the hatch, went out into the cockpit and said “What???”

“Sorry to bother you Chuckster, but your pickup is illegally parked in the snow dump area and we need you to move it.”

“Oh shoot!. I’ll be right there.”

Throw on a coat and walk up to find the police and a snow plow waiting for me to move the old F150 so they can push the snow bank into the water.

I apologized. They apologized. They thanked me. I thanked them. They said “Have a good one” I said “Don’t work too hard” and my streak holds. I have not had a ticket, even for parking, since 1985.
