This year I want to plant more flowering perennials around the place so bought seeds for daisies, purple coneflower, black-eyed susans, and painted daisies.
They will take care of reseeding themselves after this year, but for now, it’s going to be far cheaper to start from seed than buy the number of plants I want to grow.
Re-sprouting the bottoms of store-bought lettuces, then planting them up and growing them inside. Success rate has been good so far! I also have other lettuces from seed going, and a few pots of spinach. Been making sprouts, but we eat them up pretty fast in salads and sandwiches. Looks like I have enough for salads tonight, then I'll see if I can re-grow the roots again. Meh. It's getting me through the winter! 😉
