Socialism promises a fairer society. Many people, regardless of their political labels, respond to this goal. Even some Christians see socialism and Christianity as converging belief systems. Both sides say we have a moral duty to care for the needy and hungry.
Any advocacy of socialism generates at least some degree of sympathetic agreement. Some suspect that socialism, compared to capitalism, occupies the moral high ground.
The problem that quickly arises is the matter of choice or free will. Will you accept socialism only because a powerful government threatens you? If you are compelled to do something, the spirituality goes out of it.
Even if you become a socialist because you believe it’s the enlightened choice, many dangers loom. Mainly, can you withdraw from a socialist agenda if it starts to be oppressive and indeed murderous? How do you back up? Ask the Venezuelans.

Communism will soon surpass socialism as “popular”. I would argue it already has with the RATS,college types,corporations,entertainment and the rest of the useless idiots.
so do the “solutions”....which always seem to wind up requiring the barrel of a gun attempting, yet once again in human history, to make the un-doable, doable.

The biggest problem with socialism is that it requires government to be all-powerful in order to enforce it. Once that happens, the government can do whatever it wants. The Nazis started as socialists, then immediately went straight to full-blown fascism once they got the power.

You are wrong there, since you fail to understand how commies define “election”. A vote was held, therefore the election was valid. QED.
All comm. regimes hold elections. Everyone already in power is sustained — unless a more ruthless elitist wants the job. Or, they are doing the musical chairs deal like when DC insiders work for the Gov and then go lobby, and then return to Gov.
Remember, there has only even been one way out of a comm. regime. And, with the USA gone, that option will have to be funded by little green dudes from Mars.

It amazes me the elites think that socialism that has failed every time it was enacted will work this time because they are so much smarter than the previous socialist leaders. The Plebs that follow them are just as clueless.
