That doesn’t help. If you think abstaining will make the Dems feel bad, it won’t. They’ll just be happy that the cheating was easier.
When they interviewed people at the MAGA rally in January, they found that a number of them hadn’t voted at all. How did that help Trump? Go to a rally after he lost because you were too lazy or too pure to go vote?
Why not work for better voting procedures, volunteer to be a poll-watcher, get hired as a poll worker, do voter registration or GOTV for you party, and actually do something? You’re just giving in to them if you don’t vote.
I hear what you’re saying, and I used to think like you, but you must see that things have changed now. Dominion is not going away. Their cases will go forward, and the media will “fortify” their position, and Dominion machines will be used in 2022.
My argument for a boycott is that it will send a powerful signal if 50 million typical voters stay home. You think the Dems will be happy; you’re probably right, on election night...but not in the aftermath. It will be a massive signal that things must change or else there will be no participation. We already have two Americas; mass disengagement and boycotting is the natural progression from here. If you attempt to play their game, you will lose. Trump is literally the most popular president of all time...and he lost at their game. Go read the Time article again. Those are the parts they’re willing to tell you about. There were other “fortifications” and “insurance policies,” to use a couple of their terms.
There are other factors involved here, as well, but I’m not going to get into them in this post.
