....... the Nixon Court found that impeachment poses a “political question” outside judicial review. It does
not mean the US Senate is free to decide jurisdiction and due-process questions on political grounds. The
Constitution still applies to the Congress, who are obliged "to obey, interpret, and enforce the Constitution."
The Senate may confer on itself power to try an impeachment......but it must still obey constitutional principles.....
