RE: I had recovered from the virus. She said yes, but they don’t know how long that will last. I told her that they don’t know how long the vaccine will last either. She begrudgingly admitted I was right.

Maybe it’s a dumb question but Does it work this way? If your natural antibodies from recovery lasts 1 year and the vaccine lasts 2 years, will your immunity be 1 + 2 years?

Its not additive, the mRNA platform demonstrated T-cell immunity immunity (Memory immunity) at about 8 weeks. I believe that as the antibodies diminished in infected people, T-cell immunity was also found.

In the studies, the second shot of the series was what drove t-cell stimulation. Hence the reason for the second shot

J&J the single shot platform with dead viral particles stimulates antibodies, but the question is does it stimulate memory. Probably not, ergo the single shot looks more like a yearly vaccine.
