The teachers are demonstrating to their students that the teachers’ safety is more important than the monitors and the students. Not exactly leading by example. It does, however, demonstrate quite convincingly, the underlying ethics and morality of the ruling class of the school and current society in general.

sorry but most teachers are there because they couldn't pass higher math and science courses and getting an education degree is about the simplest way to get any degree....I had a friend who went to college for pharmacy...she was tied up in study, labs, library, etc...her fiancé who was studying "education" rarely studied....

I think this practice of escaping to "education" degrees started during the Nam war....many guys just got into college to take any courses just so they could avoid the draft.
