Patrick Byrne: How DJT Lost the White House, Ch. 4
Deep Capture ^ | February 4, 2020 | Patrick Byrne

Posted on 02/05/2021 7:04:03 AM PST by KYEasternBlueBird

On the morning of January 6, Flynn and I and a dozen others walked over to the south side of the White House. We were surprised that no special arrangements had been made for us, and we had to fight our way through the throngs. We were both given speakers’ badges, seated in a special section up front…. then learned that our speaking slots had been cancelled. We were perplexed, to put it mildly, wondering whom they could get that would possibly explain the situation as well as we could…

Thanks for posting this thread. It seems to me Byrne’s account is probably truthful, or at least mostly truthful from his point of view. With emphasis on the “from his point of view.”

It appears to me that President Trump was between a rock and a hard place. Go with the Rudy bunch and get nowhere, or go with Flynn and company and end up impeached and convicted, or even assassinated. Had he invoked the Insurrection Act, I really don’t think assassination was outside the realm of possibility. Various Democrats and the media have long accused him of wanting to be a dictator, claimed he would refuse to leave office, claimed he would have to be removed by the military if he lost the election, etc. Can you imagine the spin, the incredible outrage had he invoked it? It would have been seen, by anyone so inclined, as the golden window for taking Trump out permanently without making him into a martyr.

The lawyers advising him against taking the Flynn route may have been swampy bad guys, or they may have been trying to save his life, or even both at the same time.

More likely than assassination to my mind, though, he would have been in real danger of swift impeachment and conviction had he gone the Insurrection Act route.

I really don’t know why Byrne did not contemplate either possibility. Perhaps he did, and hinted at it when mentioning the warning to Melania.

So, what now? I still like Goldman’s suggestion (the OJ Option*), the one I posted here:

https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/3931465/posts?page=52#52

Yes, it would take time and money and many, many volunteers, but it seems the only sensible way forward to me. That, and fighting HR1 with all we’ve got.

*Remember OJ and how the jury in criminal trial let him off Scott free, but he was nailed in civil court?

The modern method of political assassination is by air accident. Think of Ron Brown, JFK, Jr., Paul Wellstone, Hale Boggs. If the wreckage is found, a little corruption with the investigation hides the deed. I advise Trump to be extra careful with where he keeps his jet, and who maintains it. That is the most likely assassination method from the DS.

A lawsuit for violations of RICO or conspiracy to deny civil rights depends on the judge, and if permitted, the jury. State courts in the big cities are too corrupt to permit a plaintiff to win, and federal courts are dominated by either Dem appointees like Judge Sullivan in DC, or "conservative" judges who really hate civil rights cases. It's worth a try, but don't hope for too much.

My thought is to work at the state and local level to fix election integrity, and move for a second constitutional convention as the check on D.C. throwing away free and fair elections. Trump can preside over a second constitutional convention just as Washington presided over the first. We need 34 state legislature to call for that, and 38 to ratify the amendments. So our focus in on now and state elections in 2021.

Goodness, the thought of air accident really gives me chills. I was in Croatia when the plane with Ron Brown on it went down and saw it on the Croatian evening TV news. I remember being totally shocked at how the crash scene was being handled and thought to myself how this is not how we do this. There are many, many strange things about that crash and its aftermath, but I still cannot bring myself to believe it was intentional and masterminded by the Clintons. Maybe they really are that evil, but my mind just won’t go there. I think the Kennedy accident was most likely just an accident; it’s plausible. Or perhaps I am naive. I don’t know anything about the Wellstone crash, and was just a kid (and living in Switzerland) when the plane carrying Hale Boggs disappeared.

But I do think you are probably right about that being the most likely method. It gives me the willies.

I also think you are on a great path re restoring election integrity on the state and !ocal levels and applaud you for making the effort. We also need people to volunteer as poll watchers and go through the proper training. Lots of places and ways folks can contribute to the cause.

All of the things that you noted concerning Trump implementing the I.A. are almost certainly true, and yes, Byrne’s side-note re: the Deep State getting rid of Trump was absolutely chilling.

With hindsight, a good deal of the initial anger that I harbored toward the President for not putting the I.R. in place has dissipated; mostly because I tried to put myself in his place and realized that I would almost certainly not have put the lives of my wife and children in danger.

Even so, there is always that notion of pledging one’s life, fortune and sacred honor to the defense of the republic which haunts me. Our own founding wasn’t supported by the majority of Americans, at least initially, but those were different times.

The article that you cited has me fascinated. The idea of pursuing remedies in a civil setting is intriguing. I just wonder, how would we organize to do it?

More generally, that’s the question - “how do we organize?” that I’ve been obsessed with for the past few weeks. I don’t know where to begin. The GOP, in its current make-up, is a self-serving mess (read... Liz Cheney skates, and MTG, Boebert, Hawley and a few others are demonized and rail-roaded, all the while, McConnell, Graham and the rest of the gang relish their minority status while suckling at the breast of our enemies).

Thinking of McConnell, Dr. Franklin’s comments re: his involvement in Trump’s downfall were telling to me, and they highlight a part of the story that Byrne didn’t cover.

The only beef that have with the author of the piece that you cited is that he wrote:

“For the record, I doubt that fraud won the election for Biden (why didn’t the Democrats fake ballots for the House as well as the White House?).”

Honestly, I believe the answer to that question is that the vote for Trump was so unexpectedly overwhelming that the fraudsters didn’t have time to focus on down-ballot races, thus the number of ballots submitted only with votes cast for President.

AND, then there is the “evidence” that Mike Lindell’s team uncovered (from 1:36 on in his recent film). If that evidence makes its way before a criminal court, it might just be enough to get the ball rolling.

I think there were only two likely outcomes to invoking the IA: (1) sure and swift impeachment+conviction or (2) pushing up daisies, with (1) the most likely. There was really no point in trying it.

Yes, I took issue with the exact same thing in the Goldman piece (down-ticket victories). It could very well be as you say — or it could be as some have speculated, that the Dems cut a deal with the Republican Establishment: “we will look the other way at election fraud so long as you only mess with the presidential votes and leave House votes alone.”

Agree the question of “how do we organize?” is a most pressing — and most daunting! — issue for us. I have been thinking about it these weeks as well, and wish I knew the answer!

. I think the Kennedy accident was most likely just an accident; it's plausible. Or perhaps I am naive.

Word from his friends was that he was running for the NY senate seat. Hillary couldn't beat him, and suddenly he is just another name on the long list of problem people who died mysteriously to benefit the Clintons. He was never in the military, but his autopsy was performed by the U.S. Navy and the bodies were summarily cremated and buried at sea. There was no chance for a second forensic examination of the bodies. Hillary became New York senator.

Goodness, the thought of air accident really gives me chills.

Another recent example of a plane crash as political assassination was Polish President Kaczynski's death on a visit to Russia in 2010. The official story is that the plane crashed landing in bad weather, like JFK, Jr., (and like that story the weather at the site is disputed). The man Kaczynski defeated in the presidential election, Donald Tusk, became prime minister and agreed with the Russian conclusions. Over ten years later Russia still refuses to release the wreckage of the Polish president's plane to Poland. This is how VIP's get offed in the modern world. It happens.

The crash that took out Kennedy was quite convenient, wasn’t it? I can see where there would be questions.

I remember the Smolensk crash well. Very suspicious, to say the least, and suspicions still openly linger.

Then there was the 1994 downing of the plane carrying the presidents of Rwanda and Burundi, an obvious assassination, but still after all these years no responsibility assigned.

For now, it looks like they are determined to destroy him in every way. Talk of criminal charges on top of civil suits. It is disgusting.

Oh, about Mike Lindell video, I hope it’s right on the money. This is worrisome, though:

I sure hope that the information that Lindell shared was accurate too. I followed your link (thank you for sharing it)... and it took some of the wind out of my sails. Ugh.

Never thought that I would live to see such a mess :-(

Yes it is. Rush has been making this point for a while; that the conservative “brand” is finished, and that “conservatives” need to come up with something new to describe what we believe.

But, when words such as “Patriot” are verboten, it’s difficult.

And, it’s downright dangerous now to be a “conservative.”

Also disconcerting: I sort of assumed the media claims that Sydney Powell and General Flynn and Lin Wood were Q supporters and even “promoters of Qanon” were smears, assumed that Q followers just posted a lot about them and the media conflated that with the two supporting or even promoting Q. Well, we all know what happens when one assumes!

For me, this casts the whole story in a different light. Did Byrne not know of their involvement in the Q movement? No wonder Trump’s advisors wanted him to keep a distance from them.

The “Q” movement, at least as far as I read it, is a subversion of the Christian notion of the Messiah’s return. While I agree with the “God wins” sentiment that “Q” followers conclude their messages and memes with, I am not expecting a miraculous event (the return of JFK, Jr. for example), to occur and to stem the tide of current events.

In fact, I firmly believe that the things we are currently experiencing are going to become much, much worse.

As much as I want to believe that we are in the “end times”, the signs around us certainly align with scripture, I don’t pretend to know the moment. But my eyes are open.

Through all of this my personal faith has become much stronger.

I don’t intend my response to come across as preachy or proselytizing, rather, I just wanted to share my thoughts on “Q” and the dangers that I believe the movement represents.

If Trump’s advisors were trying to shield him from “Q” followers, well, I won’t judge them as harshly.

The problem is, we just know what happened in the President’s inner circle. But, Byrne does give us glimpses.

Partner, I will always be a conservative, period.

You know as well as I do that the presidential election of 2020 was stolen by the DemonRats and we conservative will definitely lose.

The Republicans agreed to mail in ballots because of the COVID 19 virus and that is where a lot of fraudulent activity went on and on and the Republicans will lose every time that they allow mail in ballots in a presidential election.

We can not believe that Republicans agreed to mail in ballots.

Plus President Trump had that Barr guy as U.S. Atty. Gen. and Durham never ever will get to the end of that conversation.

What Conservatives want to know is who hired Barr as U.S. Atty. Gen???

The Republicans do not know how to play hard ball and you can not play softball with the DemonRats.

We know that "The Dawg Bill Clinton" went to the Epstein Island with the underage girls and "Clinton Foundation" is so corrupt.

We still have not found one thing that we can pin on the "Dawg Clinton" and the other "Witch Miss Hillary" and they both need to go to jail forever.

Epstein is Murdered in jail and we knew that was going to happen.

Believe me when I say it is not dangerous to be conservative.

“Believe me when I say it is not dangerous to be conservative.”

On the face of it, I agree with you. Conservatives, and those who support Trump far outnumber Marxists and so-called liberals in this country. But, when the latter groups stole the reins of power, and when conservatives exercised their constitutional rights - only to receive “visits”, court dates and criminal records - it does seem dangerous to me to be a conservative.

The GOPe, on the whole is worthless, the voting system is rigged and full-on Marxists are running this country.

I am not dooming, or disagreeing with the facts that you shared, but I am at a loss presently, to see a way out of the current predicament.
