If it’s a door in the photo in post 1245, it would have to be open to show that crack and we’d see the leading edge of the door. There’s no front edge so it can’t be a door.

Could it be that the front edge of the door is obscured behind the lamp in post 1245?

yeah, I just don’t see the outline of the entire door...there is no break in the paneling....

Look closely at the left side of table lamp and you’ll see the brass door knob.

Don't see how it's anything else. That gold thing is the doorknob. The edge of the door is obscured so we really don't know how far it's open. Door is next to the clock.
