My Keeshond lived 18 years on Nutro crunchies with a little bit of homemade turkey soup poured over it. Turkey soup was essentially bone broth with little pieces of turkey, just a tad of celery and carrots chopped fine.. She’s been gone for years, but I still cry whenever I see a Keeshond. Live in an apartment now, and a cat is really all I can handle.

A vet told me once that dogs will eat poop because it’s about as nutritious and tasty as the dry dog food we put in their bowls. I always remember that when I feed my dogs.

I have a Maltese. He’s eaten nothing but fresh home-cooked meals. He loves ham and chicken, won’t eat beef at all. Peas and carrots but no corn. He loves apple slices for dessert. or blueberries . He will never see kibble or even wet dog food which he refuses to eat. The vet says he’s healthy and happy so keep doing what we’re doing.

When I see this type of language used, I generally give no credence to the remainder of the article. It is mathematically incorrect and illogical. It is also ambiguous. Do they mean 25% less, 25% of, or one 25th of?
