“How does a 2 year “slip” away from mom?”

Have you known any 2 year olds? I assure you, that is their stock in trade.

LOL! When I was 2-3, my Parents had one on me, since I used to open other peoples' car doors, play with the column shift selector, the car would wind-up in "N" and drift into another parked car. I'd be into everything, so a harness was de rigeur.

I know that and that is why in a crowded situation they should kept captive in mom’s or dad’s hand. If not in danger of the train, how about someone looking to snatch a child?

Ahh, so you’re the reason why you have to press the brake pedal to shift out of park!

Yes, of course, these are difficult issues, they really are. Even with the best behaved children. And then you get a “bad” one.

My daughter was like that. I’ll tell you that girl will never be turned into a pillar of salt, because she never once, in her whole life, looked back at mommy or daddy as she ran to “the future” or however her little mind conceived it.

Some here have mentioned the leashes you can get for a kid. Those are usually wrist-to-wrist things. Well, I though about getting one of those when my kid was little, and I rejected it because I figured she’d hook her end to a lamppost and I’d be tethered as she took a jaunt.

Well, she’s all grown up now, and has one very good kid and another who is just like her. He’s a sweetheart, but he can give you 8 heart attacks a day!

I feel for this mom, I won’t make any speculation of the merits of her suit, but I’m sure her heart is broken and I’m also pretty sure what happened is not her willful fault, athough legally she may be found responsible.

I’m the one! The early 50s car were a breeze.
LMAO.
